Learn about raising chickens with Rebecca Scott, owner of Valley View Farms and in collaboration with Shade River Ag Service in Chester. Live chickens will be at the presentation!
If you're considering raising a flock in your backyard or already have chickens, but want to know more about taking care of them, this is the class for you! Bring your questions! Rebecca will present the following information:
-care from raising chicks to production care
-hens for eggs and meat birds
-"chicken tractors" building information
PLUS: Each attendee will get a ticket at the end of the class for a drawing for the following:
- 1 bag of chicken feed donated by Shade River Ag Service in Chester
- 2 t-shirts donated by Meme's Custom Embroidery
- 1 certificate for 6 chicks
