April is National Poetry Month! We are celebrating the power of words with a Poetry Workshop in the Riverview Room at the Pomeroy Library. 

During this workshop we'll

  • explore types of poetry
  • complete writing prompts
  • share writing with the group

Also, and as always, you're invited to bring any poems you've already written to share. 

This is a part of our new series of writing workshops, open to writers of all ages and experience level!

Stop by the Pomeroy Library on April 12th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM for a car seat safety check. Learn which type of seat is best for your child and be sure it is installed properly. This event is hosted by the Vinton County Health Department.

Create your own work of art for this adult painting night. We'll provide all the supplies, including paint and canvases. The painting will feature a mushroom nighttime scene. Thomas O'Grady and George Eberts, Astronomy Assistants from the Astrophysical Institute at Ohio University will be at the Pomeroy Library to discuss the upcoming eclipse! This event will be on 4/4/24 @ 4:00!
