Big things are about to happen at the Racine Library!

The Racine Library is due for an update and must close for a renovation project. The library will close on November 1st and remain closed through the Thanksgiving holiday. The tentative date of reopening will be Monday, December 8th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Racine patrons are encouraged to pick up their items at the Pomeroy Library during the closing. Copying, printing, notary service and more is available at the Pomeroy Library. The book drop will remain open during the closing, but items may also be returned at any Meigs Library location, as always.

Now, for the exciting changes you’ll experience at the library:

• A redesigned floorplan

• Expanded computer lab

• A dedicated children’s space featuring custom furniture

• Easy-to-browse book bins for picture books

• A reading nook for children

• A reading room for adults, separate from the main space, for quiet study

• New carpet, paint, and flooring

• New tile, fixtures, and flooring in the bathrooms

There will be a re-opening celebration at the Racine Library on December 6th at 1:00 P.M. The public is invited to attend to see the updates. Light refreshments will be served.
