Hours of operation are increasing at the Meigs County District Public Library, thanks to the passage of the library operating levy in March of last year. The library’s expanded hours of operations are as follows. Pomeroy Library Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. All three library branches in Middleport, Racine and the Eastern Elementary School will now be open six days per week, Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. In addition to the expanded hours, library users will notice areas of service that had previously been reduced due to budget cuts are now being restored. Purchase of materials, including books, DVDs and music CDs as well as materials for research including reference databases and other online resources will be restored. We also hope to add new services which we simply were unable to acquire, due to budget constraints prior to passage of the levy.
